Anže Kopitar (born August 24, 1987 in Jesenice, Socialist Republic of Slovenia, Socialist Federation of Yugoslavia) is a Slovenian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Kopitar is the first Slovenian ice hockey player to play in the NHL.
